GEMTA is a group of volunteer EMT's that provide emergency care to the city of Grangeville and the surrounding area.
The Syringa Hospital Ambulance responds to about 400 calls a year. This includes vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, inter facility transfers, back country rescue, extrication, and traumatic events.
GEMTA members provide training to the community including child safety, sober graduation, and CPR. GEMTA hosts an annual continuing education conference for emergency care providers.
